The Museum of Local Folk Culture is built in the traditional local style of architecture. It showcases exhibits exploring the fascinating culture of the area, both ancient and modern, and changes in the daily lives of the people. Penglai's Christian Church, a building full of character and charm, has a history of more than one hundred and thirty years. The archways are carved of stone and decorated with Chinese characters, and one serves as one of the maintenance of Qi Jiguang's residence. The parking lot covers an area of 2,500 square meters, and can hold 90-110 vehicles. The Administration Center lies to the southwest of the scenic area, and is composed of buildings around ancestral square courtyard. The part of the center facing the street houses some shops.
